Freeland #FF Heavy Duty Plastic Watering Valve Review

I purchased 8 horse watering tanks with this valve in them about 2 years ago.So far 6 of the 8 have failed.I tried to contact the manufacturer last summer but never got a response and eventually got replacement valves through the water tank manufacturer who has been great.In the last several days 3 more have failed.I reached customer service of the valve company today and they were quite rude.They claimed that my horses or I must have done something to them even though 2 of the 3 that failed recently were in pastures with no horses.This valve has been a constant headache for me and I would never buy it or any product with it again.

Northern Industrial Replacement Air Compressor Filter Review

This uses some steel mesh to act as an air filter instead of paper or fabric. The only filtering this will do is from having the air change direction a couple of times. Do your compressor a favor and get it a real filter, or you may be buying a new compressor.

And over the years I have purchased countless different Ingersoll Rand air tools. I'm great about paying top dollar for quality products, but I am not going to let anybody make a fool out of me. This hose kinks quite easily and stands out in my yard (bright white for boats), but it's solid and does NOT contain lead so I can deal with those small problems.

Most of the hoses on the market contain lead and actually give warning on the label not to use for drinking, pools, gardens, or playing in (spinkler fun or whatever). Northern Industrial Air Hose - 1/4in. x 65ft., Clear, Urethane Review

I'd thought I'd try these(the 65' and 35') because at their price, if they're any good at all, they represent a good alternative to the pricier Coilhose and PUR-Hose models. That, plus I liked the included swivel fittings. After two weeks of heavy use, I'm very pleased. No problems of any type. Since they're available locally through Northern Tool, I'll be buying more. Do note however that fittings differ from norm so you might have to buy additional connectors.

I have a little 2hp air compressor in my garage that is over twenty years old. I still had the air hose that came with it but it had leaks and was getting pretty frayed. I just happened to be looking through a tool catalog one day when I came across this air hose. I checked to see who sold this online and saw that Amazon.com did so I decided to buy it and got the 100 ft. one to replace the old 50 ft. hose. Reelcraft L-4545-123-7 Spring Driven Cord Reel with 45-Feet of 12/3 Cord and GFCI Dual Outlet Review

Its made by Reelcraft so you know its good. I mean, its like saying "are Snap-On tools any good?"
Unfortunately the latch mechanism it uses to keep the reel from winding back in is a pain to use. I prefer the ratchet 'click click click' style, but this uses a stupid lever with a wheel that drops into a half round detent on the hub. Its kind of hard to explain, but take my word for it, its annoying to use.

So when you pull the cord and want it to stay out you need to s l o w l y.... let it reel back in about a half a rotation before the latch catches and the cord dosent wind up. There is no audible noise to the mechanism and it is easy to bump the wheel past the detent so sometimes you need to try it three or four times. And if you have the cord really extended it becomes even more annoying.

Overall the mechanism is really annoying, but i still like the reel and use it every day. But if i were to order again, id try to get a different model number with a standard reel catch.

Ace Heavy Duty Kink Free Garden Hose Review

Dont buy this hose if you plan to use it for your garden, kiddie pool, dog/cat water bowl, playing in the sprinkler, or pretty much anything fun to do with a hose in the summer... According to the label, it's full of lead and other toxins that cause cancer and birth defects... the marine and boat hoses are your best bet here on amazon. Look for "drinking water safe" or "non toxic" on the description.
