Liberty Garden Products 4-in-1 Multi-Purpose Two Wheel Garden Hose Reel Cart With 100-Foot Hose Capacity #706-1-Bronze Review

The reel is too low to the ground with too little clearance from the base of the cart. Because of the clearance, I have to carefully make sure that the hose winds neatly on the reel. Further, the wheels do not stay firmly connected to the axle. I need to continually give them a kick to make them click on. I will likely sell this model and get a better one with a larger reel with more clearance.

Does the job but not good enough.Faults.(1) The bracket that holds it is
not strong enough relative to the weight of the unit.You can fasten it securely but it still wobbles because the steel is not strong enough.Handle it carefully and it works OK.I would not have bought it had I realized that it was so weak.(2) The hose end came off.I had to purchase a hose clamp to hold the hose end on again.Now I have a hose end with an inconvenient clamp around the end of it.This interferes with using the hose and attaching tools to the end of the hose with the quick connect that I use.

Apex 8885-50 NeverKink 5/8-Inch-by-50-Foot Commercial Duty Hose Review

I got this hose was a little scared because of the negative reviews I was seeing. My experience is that the hose is MUCH better at not kinking compare to my Flexogen (expensive) hose. The Flexogen was almost unuseable in my backyard 3 to 4 kinks constantly and losing water pressure all the time. This Teknor has in 5 days of watering only mildly kinked once and when it did, a shake of the hose freed up the kink. The flexogen I would have to actually pickup the kink and straighten it; with the Teknor just a simple flick of the hose while still watering was enough to fix it. Huge Improvement! I give it 4 stars because it can still kink so Neverkink is a misleading name but works so much better its really more of a 5.

This is a very nice well crafted nozzle in all respects except one, it seems to limit the flow somewhat from a typical nozzle, and doesn't give the same jet range when set to the thin narrow pattern. Hitachi 19412F 50-Foot-by-1/4-Inch Polyurethane Air Hose Review

I bought two of these hoses mostly due to the favorable reviews and the really low sale price.

What I have found though, is that the hose fittings aren't up to serious use. So far I've had the fittings on both ends of one hose pull loose, once with wild thrashing of the hose until I could get to the compressor to disconnect it. The other hose I had the gun-end fitting break off when I dropped my gun. In both cases, it was the result of shoddy materials or construction. The hose with the loose ends was clearly not swaged tight enough at the factory. I could push the fittings completely back into the end of the hose and pull them off again by hand. In the case of the broken fitting, upon examination of the fitting I found that the fitting wall was very thin. I don't know whether this was an anomaly or indicative of all the fittings, but they clearly aren't meant for serious work.

On the other hand, the hose material itself is great. It is light weight and stands up to daily use on a construction site. While it will kink more easily than heavy duty hoses, the kinks don't appear to damage the hose itself. Just straighten out the kink and keep working.

So you can view this product in one of two ways. The first is that it is good, as is, for light weight occasional use around the shop. The second is that you've purchased a couple lengths of really good hose, but expect to replace the ends and fittings if your plan to use it for serious work.

When I purchased them they were on sale for $15.13 each. Had I paid the current price of $41.61 I would be livid. At $15.13 they were a good purchase for the hose material. At $41.61 I would not recommend them for any reason at all.

I've owned one of these reels since 1993, and have used it hundreds of times.

The reel works as you would expect of a high-quality product.To have the reel lock at the hose length needed; pull out what you need, and stop after one of the loud clicks.When done, pull the hose out a foot or so to release the lock, and slowly release the hose for it to automatically roll back up.Don't let go of the hose at that point, because it goes in so fast, it could hurt someone or damage something if smacked by the hose end.(The only reels on the market where it's safe to let the hose go when it's winding up, is the more expensive Coxreels EZ-Coil series; they feed the hose in, slowly.)

About 6 months ago, air started leaking in the fitting that the air compressor's hose attaches to.I sent an e-mail to Coxreels technical support and they told me which new part would eliminate the leak.I purchased, then replaced the swivel (see Customer Images), and the reel is as good as new.It's nice to know you can still get the manufacturer to provide advice on a 15-year old product.

The reel is all steel, except for the brass fittings.The base is 1/4" steel plate and is very strong.The painting has held up without any issues.The hose that comes with the reel is excellent reinforced rubber.It looks pretty much as it did 15 years ago.There are no rattles when pulling the hose out, as with some cheaper hose reels.

This is a high-quality, professional-grade hose reel.Highly recommended.

This hose does its job nicely.I needed to buy a couple adaptors so it could fit my tools, but that was no serious problem.The only funny thing about the hose is after I strung it out a window for a week the hose that was outside discolored a little.It still works fine a month later.I really did not need to buy the 3/8ths, 1\4 would have been just fine and lighter.Such is life.

Swan 150-Foot Hose Reel Hose #SNHR58150 Review

It may be long, but it's a very lightweight, cheap hose that kinks easily (in fact, the inside coils were already very kinked upon arrival). This is they type of hose everyone had in the 70s--I'd be surprised if it would last a season of heavy use, and I can't imagine it not cracking over winter (even empty).

For comparison, it's like the cheapest hose you can buy at the grocery or hardware store, very thin foldy. If you've bought a new hose in the last decade, this will disappoint you. If I had paid $25 instead of $65, I'd probably just suck it up and use it, knowing I'd have to replace it next year.

But at this price, you'll be much happier buying two shorter, better quality hoses and connecting them with teflon plumbers' tape for a secure seal (and you'll probably save money).

The only upside to this hose is that, since it's cheap and lightweight and narrow, it is lighter to carry around. But I'd rather have a quality hose that won't kink every time I pull it out than one I can tote around (how often do you carry the whole hose around, anyway?), so back it went.

Akro-Mils 93021BKGRAN Garden Hose Pot & Planter Review

Why would anyone design a hose pot with absolutely no drainage in the bottom???Beats me!! You can't turn it over to empty it out once the 50 or more feet of hose is in it.Only thing to do is get out your drill and put in your own holes.Also a lot of money for a piece of plastic. Not bad enough for me to repack and return, but would not buy again.

Suncast 225' Capacity Hosemobile Garden Hose Reel Cart, Bronze/Taupe #SFB200B Review

The barrel around which the hose is coiled has a diameter only a few inches wide. That might be okay if you were coiling rope, but a hose does not easily wind so tightly. When winding, this places a great deal of strain on the hose and on the crank, which is made entirely out of snapped-together plastic parts. It breaks apart with every other use, and snapping it back together is not straightforward.

The connectors for both the inlet and outlet hoses are plastic, and do not seal tightly, causing leakage. The included washers were nearly useless; I replaced them immediately, which helped somewhat. The angles of the connectors are quite sharp. This causes the hoses to pinch, restricting water flow and leading to cracking at those points.

The wheels provide only about a half inch of clearance beneath the bottom of the cart. So unless you are rolling it on a perfectly flat surface, you end up dragging it, pulling up clumps of grass as you go. It is really inexcusable that such a product could ever be released.

I bought this hose under the impression that it was lead free.It is labeled "Not labeled for sale in California" so it probably contains lead.The ACE branded version does not and seems to be of equal quality.There appear to be few options for lead-free hoses; "Boat and Camper" lower quality hoses and some hot water ones.

This hose has great flexability but does not kink often and appears to be very sturdy (only years of use will tell for certain).

This product is made in the USA as is the ACE hose mentioned above.

Legacy L8653 Manual Air Hose Reel Review

When I opened the box I found the 3/8 Fasteners for the leg and handle assembly loose. There were several chips in the paint of the reel from the fasteners. During Assembly of the legs and handle I found the capscrews were too short. I was unable to start the nut. I resolved the problem by going to the local Box Store and purchasing longer 3/8 capscrews. I was pleased to finally find the rating for the hose and reel. Max working pressure is 350 PSI. The Hose burst pressure is 1400 PSI. No where in the product description or specifications can these numbers be found. I ordered this Assembly hoping these ratings were Ok for my application. Other than the short capscrews and a few chips in the paint, I am pleased with this unit. I like the portability. It is a well constructed heavy duty unit.

I didn't buy from the seller on Amazon - my complaint is about the product.it is supposed to take 175' of hose.I put on 100' of 3/4" rubber hose, and it is all I can do to real the thing up.The unit is awkward, has no weight to balance against the weight of the hose, and the handle popped out of its socket almost immediately.Unless your using a really cheap light weight hose, buy something more substantial!

This reel arrived with corners of carton damaged; hardware was not packedge well & was loose, and hardware was missing; I used my own nuts/screws,etc. You can find a much better one at Lowes for less money & instructions for assembly are better;yoy can find eeven larger & better one at Sam Club for less money. I needed another & with my veteran's discount (all Lowes & Home Depots give 10% vets discount) I bought the one at Lowes even though the one at Sam's was larger for the same money because I did not need one that large 300 ft. of hose).

Very disappointed with the hose reel. Other than being easy to assemble, couldn't find much about it I liked. Hose capacity is overstated, construction is flimsy.

Nelson Industrial High Flow Nozzle Review

My husband bought this sprayer in early summer 2008.As a full-time fireman, he loves the fireman style nozzle because he's all about dispensing the most water in the least amount of time.The sprayer was used regularly last summer and fall and was used off and on during the winter months.My husband got it out the other day to start spring 2009 watering and it was leaking horribly.He took it apart and there's a piece inside that, according to him, should have been made of metal... not plastic.For as much as these sprayers are, they shouldn't be made of cheap parts... and surely should last more than a couple of seasons--and definitely more than a year!Beware!

Well, at first look this think is awesome. The retractor worked perfect. But then we hooked up the water and it started spewing water like the titanic. At first look it appears the very inexpensive couplings were the problem. The threads are not aligned properly. Then it just blows off and starts shooting water everywhere.
And of course the company has no customer service phone number only an email to the sales dept.

Amazingly high quality solid copper (correction - painted steel!) piece.Better than I was expecting based on the description and picture.Get the real thing for what most places charge for resin or plastic knock offs.Very pretty embossed pattern.Will be getting a second one soon.

Update - further research indicates this is painted steel.Has held up very well in actual use.I appreciate the lid.Looks good and keeps the hoses out of the sun.Still wish it were real copper, but then it would be a lot more money.
